CREATIVE WRITING CONTEST: Fifth grade students, Kendall Becker, Payton Freyhauf, and Deborah Parker participated in this 14th annual “Celebrate America” Creative Writing Contest sponsored by the American Immigration Council. The contest provides fifth graders the opportunity to explore America as it relates to immigration. It highlights the experience of immigrants who have left their homelands in search of a more promising future in America. Fifth graders are currently learning about Immigration in Social Studies.
