Finance Committee Page

In early 2002, the Nordonia Hills City School District established a Finance & Audit Committee.  The Committee reports directly to the Board of Education, through the Chair.  The Committee was originally established to help maximize community confidence in the Board's financial stewardship, as well as to monitor and review the District's accounting and financial reporting practices to help ensure compliance with Auditor of State citations and recommendations.

Committee members include a Chair, the District Treasurer, and additional members selected from the school board, school related organizations, community organizations, or community members at large.  Members of the Committee generally possess financial and/or school administration backgrounds.

The Committee meets at least quarterly to discuss and review topics including, but not limited to, the following:


Peer Benchmarks
Forecast and Assumptions
Appropriations
Audit Compliance and Results
Financial Communication
Revenue and Expenditure Trends
Emerging Financial Issues
