I would like to WELCOME you to my Health Class Website. My intentions for this website are two fold. First, it will provide students with an opportunity to chart their progress as well as keep up to date on any homework, tests and extra credit assignments. Second, the site will provide parents with ongoing feedback as to their child's progress throughout the semester.

This website will enhance the educational process by providing a positive link between Home and School for Students, Parents, and Teachers. I hope you always find the information on this website useful and informative. The site is updated weekly, so come back and visit frequently.

If you have any comments, questions or concerns please feel free to email me or contact me at (300) 908-6199 ext. 5261 and I will address them.

Respectfully,

Mr. Gary Kanaga
Health Teacher
Nordonia High School

GIFTS FROM THE HEART
"Gifts From the Heart" is in its 23rd year.  Mr. Kanaga and his friend John Gielink started it in 1989 in honor of Mr. Kanaga's twin brother Glenn.  Glenn was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease in his senior year of high school.  After a hard fought battle with the disease, Glenn went into remission in 1989 and remains cancer-free today.  Mr. Kanaga has been actively campaigning to help kids since 1984 through such organizations as The American Cancer Society, The Make A Wish Foundation and "Gifts From the Heart".
