The 2007-2008 school year promises to be an exciting new chapter in Nordonia High School athletics. Nordonia will be moving to the new Northeast Ohio Conference. Made up of eighteen school districts, the NOC promises to be the premier athletic conference in Northeast Ohio. Conference member schools include: Brunswick, Brush, Cuyahoga Falls, Elyria, Garfield Heights, Hudson, Lakewood, Mayfield, Medina, Nordonia, Normandy, North Royalton, Parma, Solon, Stow, Strongsville, Twinsburg and Valley Forge. The conference will be made up of three 6 team divisions and will sponsor championships in each division.

The conference was founded based upon competitiveness versus the traditional geographic boundaries that determine most leagues. Each school was placed in a division that will allow it to compete on a level playing field with its opponents. Conference schools will compete in different divisions in each sport in order to maintain this competitive balance.

Other highlights of the new conference include educational and co-curricular opportunities such as band and choral competitions, student leadership conferences and department chair meetings. The broad make-up of the conference will expose our athletes, students and teachers to new personal and professional growth chances.

Nordonia High School looks forward to the tremendous future that the Northeast Ohio Conference brings and we hope to see all Knight students, parents and fans support all of the league sponsored activities.
