During the month of November, Mrs. Hopkins’ eighth grade Art students will be designing and building creative mixed-media masks using plaster cloth and paint, as their final assignment in the portraiture unit. Next we will be working on entries for the Akron Institute of Architects mixed-media architecture collage for the annual art contest next spring. 
Architecture: Residential drafting and design provides the basic       information necessary for planning various types of dwellings. It presents basic instruction in preparing architectural working drawing using traditional (manual) as well as computer based methods. The lab was developed to serve as a reference for design and construction principals and methods. It is intended to help students build the necessary technical skills to communicate architectural ideas in an understandable, efficient, and accurate manner.
Students in PE class are currently participating in a Basketball unit. The students will learn various skills and strategies needed to improve their game performance. After Basketball, the students will participate in Badminton and Volleyball!
