TEAM GATOR has been awfully busy this year so far.   As the first quarter comes to an end, students have been working   diligently trying to master the Ohio State Standards. They have also shown a lot of compassion by donating items and money to the United States Military Care Packages for Make a Difference Day and money to the Josh Golobek fundraiser. Here are some upcoming events and concepts students will be learning during November and December.

In Connected Math, students are currently reading the book, Looking for Pythagoras. This book has students using the Pythagorean Theorem to determine the lengths of the sides of right triangles. The first Quarter Assessment will be the last week of the grading period.

French students are working on calendar terms and weather. All foreign language students will rotate to their new language after Thanksgiving break. Team Gator students will have German next.

After finishing our study of sound and light waves, science students will begin learning about stars, galaxies and the forces that hold everything together.  They will be able to explain seasons, eclipses and the orbits of planets. 

In Social Studies, students are going to be working on the Revolutionary War and the Constitution unit during November and December.

The Great Lakes Theater actors and actresses will be joining Language Arts classes at the end of the grading period to help students act out scenes as part of our drama unit.

Conferences – Team conferences are    being scheduled. Please call the office to schedule an appointment for a 20-minute conference with all of the Team Gator teachers.
