Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Nordonia High School! We are very proud of the academic and athletic excellence of our high school! Nordonia High School is ranked in the "Top 100 High Schools in Ohio" by the U. S. News and World Report. We are also recognized by Newsweek as one of “America’s Best High Schools.” Nordonia High School is a comprehensive high school, grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 1,250 students. Nordonia High School offers a wide range of curricular courses and elective courses. Currently there are nine Advanced Placement courses as well as a very comprehensive vocational program at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.

The mission of Nordonia High School is to inspire every student to value learning, community and excellence. We will provide the highest quality of classroom instruction possible. Our extra-curricular activities will be engaging and rewarding for all students. We will have a plan for effective use of district resources and communicate this plan to all stakeholders. Open communication and positive relationships will be developed between the high school, the teachers, administration, the school community and the entire Nordonia community.

Excellence deserves recognition! The Nordonia Principal’s Awards for Excellence program does just that by recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of community members so they receive the acclaim they deserve. All are encouraged to nominate a deserving student, teacher, community member for the Nordonia Principal’s Award of Excellence.
