Nordonia Track and Field 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to the 2019 Nordonia Middle School Track Season. Below you will find information pertaining to our season.

  • Please follow the calendar to know where your athlete will be practicing or competing each day.

  • Your athlete will be assigned to an event coach on March 18th or 19th. The events are as follows:



HPractice Gear Neededurdles


Subevents:  Jumpers (Jumper will be with other event coaches for two other events)

  • These events are listed on your calendar.  Events are held at various locations. Athletes will need to be picked up at their location after practice.  Bus transportation is provided to locations other than the middle school. All events and their locations are listed on the calendar.

  • Hurdlers will be practicing at the high school and middle school.

  • Distance Runners:  Distance Runners run at various locations.

*Station Rd:  Head south on Riverview from Route 82, at the bottom of the hill, turn left onto the Station Rd. parking lot for the CVNR train depot.

*Oak Grove Picnic Pavilion: Head south on Riverview from Route 82. Turn at first right at bottom of the hill onto Brecksville Reservation.  Drive over the ford and turn left onto the parkway. Go up the hill and at top of the hill, turn left onto the Oak Grove parking lot.

* Distance will also practice at MS and HS.

  • Throwers will always stay at the Middle School except for meets.

  • FinalForms

Prior to the first day of practice, March 4th for girls, March 5th for boys, all forms must be completed on FinalForms and a current copy of student athlete’s physical must be on file.  There is a link on the main Middle School Athletic Page for FinalForms. If all forms are not complete, or we do not have a current physical on file, your student athlete will not be permitted to participate until all are completed.

  • Pay to Play Athletic Fee


$86.25 Reduced Lunch

$57.50 Free Lunch

Fees must be paid prior to the first Track Meet which is April 11th in order for your student athlete to participate.

  • COMMUNICATION: WE HAVE A TEAM APP  All communication will be via our team app. You will need to download the free app called “TEAM REACH.”  Code: NMStrack2019

All of our meet locations, directions, communication about practice changes, etc… will be via the app.

        Parents can text coaches via the app as well. 

  • Practice Gear Needed

  1. With 100+ athletes, it would be very helpful to the coaching staff if the student athletes had their names on the backs of their shirts.

  2. Gym shorts/sweatpants required - NO JEANS.

  3. Running shoes.  No basketball shoes, boots, flip flops.

  4. Gym socks required.

  5. *Hoodies

  6. *Knit hat

  7. *Sweatpants

  8. *Gloves

*Required so athlete is prepared to run outdoors everyday.

Sports bras must be worn by female participants with a shirt over it.

Coaches reserve the right to determine if articles of clothing are deemed appropriate for any given situation

Please provide a combination lock for your child in order for them to lock their items in their gym lockers.
