May 22 Coronavirus Update

Thank you for your continued support and flexibility as we work through these strange times. As you know, the Nordonia Hills City School District will continue to provide remote learning for students through June 2.

I have a few items today:

  • Thank you to all who attended the Senior Day Parade last night. The outpouring of community support for our students was inspiring. I think we saw the start of a wonderful tradition. Thanks also to all the folks who made the logistics of the parade work, from our high school staff and parents to our safety forces and elected officials, and thanks to all the drone pilots, photographers and videographers among you who memorialized the parade. You can see a lot of great footage on Twitter and Facebook. Last night was exactly what “Community” looks like. We should all be very proud.

  • Effective Tuesday, May 26, the Nordonia High School track will be reopened for community use. Walkers and runners must go the same direction and remain at least six feet apart.

  • The field at Boliantz Stadium will remain closed for community use. Only Nordonia High School athletic teams under the supervision of district coaches may use the field. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • Please note no restroom facilities will be open.

These are interesting times, and we will get through them together through flexibility and common sense.  As always, thanks for your continued support of the Nordonia Schools, and Go Knights!
