Thank you for your continued support
and flexibility as we work through these unprecedented times. As you know, the
Nordonia Hills City School District will continue to provide remote learning
for students through June 2.
I have a few items for you today.
=
Thank you to the nearly 700 families who took our remote learning survey. The results show an almost perfect normal bell curve, with the majority of our families happy with the workload being provided by teachers. Of those not content with the workload, it’s almost a perfect split between folks thinking we are giving too much work and folks thinking we are not providing enough, with some variance between grade levels.

Principals
have been analyzing the data and sharing with staff so they can make
adjustments accordingly. In addition, we are reading through the thousands of
individual comments (700 respondents with several comments each) and taking
action where necessary. Thank you again for your participation.

I want
to give a special shout-out to Girl Scout Troop 91322 who has been hard at work
on their Bronze Award for the past seven months. All of them are currently
attending Lee Eaton. The troop has been raising money to help a now 20-month-old
girl with cancer. This school wide effort inspired the troop to take on a
community wide push to hold a Red Cross blood drive to support other children
fighting cancer. They also created a video, each making clips from the safety
of their homes to provide a little education about the need for blood donations
to share with you and the public.

These are unprecedented times, and
we will get through them together through flexibility and common sense.
As always, thanks for your continued
support of the Nordonia Schools, and Go Knights!
