May 20 Coronavirus Update

Thank you for your continued support and flexibility as we work through these unusual times. As you know, the Nordonia Hills City School District will continue to provide remote learning for students through June 2.

I have a few news items today.

  • As part of Governor DeWine’s Responsible RestartOhio plan, non-contact and limited contact sports leagues are permitted to operate starting May 26. To help facilitate that, the Nordonia Hills City School District will reopen our baseball and softball fields for league use.
  • Responsible Restart rules will be posted at each field. Families participating in the ball leagues are expected to follow the guidelines, which you can see here: Baseball-Softball Restart Rules
  • Thanks for your patience as we worked through this decision making process. Play ball!
  • The Nordonia High School tennis courts will be reopened for community use starting May 26. Responsible Restart rules will be posted at the courts. Tennis players are expected to follow the guidelines, which you can see here: Tennis Court Restart Rules
  • The Nordonia High School track remains closed. We have been told that the state is working on guidelines for track usage. We will continue to monitor this to help guide our decision-making process.

These are strange times, and we will get through them together through flexibility and common sense. As always, thanks for your continued support of the Nordonia Schools, and Go Knights!
