Lee Eaton CLOSED MONDAY, 11/16, and rest of week

Because of an excessive amount of projected teacher absences that can’t be covered by substitutes, Lee Eaton will be closed to in person learning this week. Students will engage in remote learning all week.

This switch to remote learning is not related to any sort of spread of COVID in the building. Several teachers are either COVID positive or contacts of those who are positive, to the point where we have at least six classrooms that we will be unable to staff. The teacher cases are all the result of community spread, and not spread at school.

We continue to see that school has been the safest place for students to be. We have been able to ensure students have been following safety protocols: social distancing, mask wearing, avoiding large groups, and washing their hands. However, we simply can’t operate a building without enough staff.

On another note, I am aware of power outages around the community. We will continue to monitor the situation and let you know if it will cause other cancellations for tomorrow.

Thanks for your continued support of the Nordonia Schools, and Go Knights!
