“I love the Nordonia Hills City School District. This community has embraced not only me, but my wife and children as well. Since 1999 I have been able to build positive relationships with many families. This has been a true blessing.” Mr. Wessel takes pleasure in his position as principal. “I really enjoy working with middle school students. They are energetic and eager to learn. Here at the Middle School we are committed to providing them with the tools they need to be successful in the future.  I am surrounded by great colleagues who work hard to make a difference in young people’s lives. We all try to uphold our school motto – The Knight Way, The Right Way.”

Shon Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science from Central State University. She also earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University. She attended Ashland University to obtain her administrative license. She has taught Language Arts and Reading in kindergarten through twelfth grade classes.  She worked in Cleveland Metropolitan Schools as a teacher. She has been an administrator in Euclid City Schools, Maple City Schools.

Working with kids is my dream job! I love middle school children because of the eagerness they display when learning about new things. I look forward to a great school year, where we will work together to be excellent! Her hobbies are reading novels, cooking, jogging, and singing. It will be an honor to live our school motto – The Knight Way, The Right Way.”
