“HOME OF THE SQUIRES”

The mission of Lee Eaton Elementary, in partnership with home and community, is to provide a safe learning environment that promotes the education and development of every student while challenging them to become lifelong learners.

 Welcome Back Lee Eaton Families!!

Excitement is in the air as the beginning of the 2016-17 school year is right around the corner!  We are blessed to welcome some new staff members, as well as our veteran core of teachers, as office personnel and custodians have been working hard this summer to invite students and parents into what promises to be a great year :)  During the first few days (weeks) of school, there are bound to be some jitters, but we are here to make students and parents feel the comfort and caring that Lee Eaton is all about!  You will meet friendly faces, lots of new opportunities will arise, and we will be here to serve all of our students academically, emotionally, and developmentally.  I am excited to call this place home, and I hope you are too:)
Again, Welcome back to school at Lee Eaton…Home of the Squires!!

Traffic Patterns, Busing and Carpool Arrival/Dismissal

Due to both the physical location of Lee Eaton and state minimum
busing in the district, arrival and dismissal present some very
interesting obstacles for many of our parents and students.  Below
are several documents that will help you safely and efficiently
navigate our procedures during both our pick-up and drop-off times.

Bus Riders:
Bus information will be posted by August 19th on our transportation

Please check bus routes and times after the 19th, password: stop

Bus Riders will be released at 2:10 when the 1st dismissal bell rings.

Walkers:
Students walking home will be released at
2:20 when the 2nd dismissal bell rings so that they can safely
exit the building after carpool dismissal. This will limit crosswalk
delays and speed up carpool lines when dismissing students.
Walkers, please be cautious when walking home.Obey traffic
personnel, avoid walking across private lawns and be safe.
Please wait in your homeroom until dismissed.

Car Riders:
Dismissal of Car Riders will start at 2:10. Due to the increased
busing, all car riders will be called together to be picked-up at
the entrance by A Hall, near the flag pool.

Northfield PD will assist with traffic intermittently, however,
school personnel will only be concerned with student pedestrians
and are not permitted to direct traffic.  Use caution and stay calm.
We understand that the conditions are not ideal, and simply want
to ensure that safety is our #1 concern.

There will be a 2 lane entry to our East lot for dismissal.  This will
allow for maximum traffic in our lot, and minimal traffic spilling onto
Ledge Rd.  See the map below for details:

Thank you for helping our kids stay safe!
