It is the philosophy of the Nordonia Hills City Schools Personnel Office to hire only the best and most qualified teachers, including substitutes, to work with our students. Nordonia STRONGLY PREFERS substitutes who have graduated from an accredited teacher education program and hold teaching licenses. Applications of candidates who hold substitute licenses and have four year degrees in fields other than education will be reviewed, but preference will be given to those who have education degrees.
Candidates who pass the initial screening of application and other materials will be interviewed by the Assistant Superintendent. We currently do not have a shortage of substitute teachers, and selection of new substitute teachers will be made very judiciously.
Your application will be reviewed and you may be selected for an interview. If you have a successful interview with the Assistant Superintendent, you may be placed on Nordonia's list of active substitute teachers. Substitutes are paid $85 per day for their first year in Nordonia.
