SUMMER READING

Dear Parents and Guardians,

All Nordonia students enrolled for the 2017-2018 school year are required to complete their summer reading assignments as outlined in the summer reading brochures. Please see right column to see the available brochures. Please enjoy reviewing how each grade band has updated the program by clicking through each of the documents available.

Last year, a committee of Nordonia parents, teachers, multiple librarians, university personnel and community organizations came together and revamped the Nordonia Hills City Schools Summer Reading Program for the summer. When children read throughout the summer, they become better readers and better learners. Summer reading helps children keep and improve the reading skills they have developed during the school year.

If you have any questions regarding your child’s reading level, summer reading book selection, or summer reading assignments, please feel free to contact his/her teacher before the end of the school year.

Please note that the grade referred to in the brochure is the grade your student will be going into in the 2017-2018 school year.

Please have a great upcoming summer.

Todd Stuart
Director of Curriculum & Instruction
