When children read throughout the summer, they become better readers and better learners. Summer reading helps children keep and improve the reading skills they have developed during the school year.
All Nordonia students enrolled for the 2010-2011 school year are required to complete their summer reading assignments as outlined in our summer reading brochures. Students need to complete story maps for each book in grades K-8. Students going into grades 9 to 12 should be prepared for a formal assessment upon return to school.
Please note that the grade referred to in the brochure and story map is the grade your student will be going into in the 2010-2011 school year.
