Greetings Ledgeview Families!
Can you believe we are in our second semster of this school year? Wow - time goes by so quickly! Students did well on their report cards and I am impresed with student learning and achievement this year. There are very few discipline conerns because students know the rules and routines and want to do well. Please compliment your children when they demonstrate good effort! These are our rules for success:
Give Me Five Rules for Success
1. I am polite, kind and respectful to all students and adults.
2. I am responsible for my actions and in control of my body.
3. I respect the property of other people and our school.
4. I have my materials and I am ready to learn.
5. I give my best effort to learn and complete my school work.
Congratulationsto Helping Hands Award winner Mrs. Sheila Raia, our PTA president. Sheila works hard on behalf of all of the children and staff at Ledgeview and we appreciate her dedication to Ledgeview. Congratulations to Mrs. Konni Stagliano who earned the Outstanding Educator Award, an excellent teacher for students in third grade. This is a well-deserved honor! Congratulations to our Title 1 teacher, Mrs. Campopiano, who had a baby boy last week. Mrs Greer will be her substitute for the next 6-8 weeks.
We have twice monthly visits planned to local nursing homes, Northfield Retirement Village and Summit Point. This is a wonderful, after school experience for students and senior citizens. We also have lots of great events planned for Right-to Read Week and Black History month.
Thanks to all of our volunteers and our PTA for the great opportunities you provide to our children.
Sincerely, Mrs. Donna Bambic
