Welcome to Lee Eaton!!
“HOME OF THE SQUIRES”

The mission of Lee Eaton Elementary, in partnership with home and community, is to provide a safe learning environment that promotes the education and development of every student while challenging them to become lifelong learners.

Lee Eaton Band and Choir

The following information concerns all Lee Eaton 6th graders:

Band is made up of students just like yours. Most of them have never played an instrument before or can read music. Many see band as a class on learning to play an instrument, but it is much more. This Tuesday (August 26th), your child was treated to a performance by the Nordonia Lancer Marching Band. On Wednesday (August 27th) each student was given the opportunity to try out our beginning band instruments.

We are also pleased to announce that Choir will be available to students in the mornings at Lee Eaton from 7:10 to 7:40, Monday through Thursday.  As we welcome Ms. Tina Lantz to the music department, we are excited for the musical opportunities that students will have this year as a brand new offering!

We are excited to begin our year with band and choir students and want parents to play an integral role in this experience.  As we get closer to the start of these student groups, we want to link you to some information that may be helpful to both parents and students.  Please see the parent letters below for each respective department, as well as the links to the Choir and Band websites and links for student sign ups.

Interested band parents:  Please make sure to visit the Nordonia Band website as well as to find information on instrument rental and the parent informational night on September 3rd in Nordonia High School auditorium at 7pm!

Grade Level Websites

As the second quarter of the the school year has begun, many folks ask us, what is new at Lee Eaton?  Or, what resources and information are available at the classroom level for parents to view, or even help their student with school work?  To answer these types of questions, both 5th and 6th grade staff have collaborated to create web pages to guide students and parents and keep them up to date.  For more information on your student and their class/teachers, please visit:

Traffic Patterns, Busing and Carpool Arrival/Dismissal

Due to both the physical location of Lee Eaton and state minimum busing in the district, arrival and dismissal present some very interesting obstacles for many of our parents and students.  Below are several documents that will help you safely and (hopefully) efficiently navigate our procedures during both our pick-up and drop-off times.

Bus Riders:
Bus information will be posted by August 18th on our transportation webpage:

Please check bus routes and times after the 18th, username: bus password: stop

Walkers:
Students walking home will typically be released during bus dismissal so that they can safely exit the building ahead of carpool dismissal.  This will limit crosswalk delays and speed up carpool lines when dismissing students.  Walkers, please be cautious when walking home.  Obey traffic personnel, avoid walking across private lawns and be safe :)

Car Riders:
Carpool forms were sent home in the summer mailing, but you can also access them here:

Some key reminders for parents dropping off and picking up:

-Please return your carpool form as soon as possible.  We will begin this process the first day of school.  Students are dismissed to the cafeteria and released in "flights" based on the car codes displayed in your windshield, so visibility for LE traffic personnel is key :)

-Drivers are asked not to attempt left turns from Ledge Road between 7-8 am and from  2-3 pm.  Traffic gridlock occurs at the intersections of Firestone, Ledge and our Carpool Entrance during these heavily traveled times.  Northfield PD will assist with traffic intermittently, however, school personnel will only be concerned with student pedestrians and are not permitted to direct traffic.  Use caution and stay calm...we understand that the conditions are not ideal, and simply want to ensure that safety is our #1 concern.

-There will be a 2 lane entry to our East lot for both arrival and dismissal.  This will allow for maximum traffic in our lot, and minimal traffic spilling onto Ledge Rd.  See the map below for details:

Thank you for helping our kids stay safe :)
